ALPHA Club at Southwest Georgia Academy is a program designed for upper elementary students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. ALPHA - stands for Academic Learning Program for High Achievers. This club was created to motivate upper elementary students to obtain better grades and keep working towards excellent academic status. Student eligibility for this club is determined by high academic grades & test scores from the previous year.
In ALPHA Club, students work on problem-solving, team-building, communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills. At the end of the year, students travel to an Educational Environmental Center for three days to learn about different environments in Georgia as a culminating activity.
