Southwest Georgia Academy is a college preparatory school that serves students from seven counties in grades K3 through 12th. It begins its 46th year this fall. The school is located on the original site of the former Damascus High School which was donated decades ago by the Haddock Family. Three of the original buildings are still being used. The school offers seven sports in team competition for boys and girls. We have celebrated Region as well as State Championships in many of these sports. Mr. Matt Dalrymple currently serves as Head Master of School. The SGA Board of Trustees consist of 9 individuals who represent each of the communities served by the school. They meet monthly to aid in school operation.

SGA Alum and Olympic Gold Medalist Lea Henry will be hosting two camps this summer in Albany. July 11-14 and July 18-21. Flyer is attached.

Summer Sports Schedule

Attached is a PDF of the Summer Practices and Camps for each Sport. Dates are subject to change but you will be notified by a coach if something is different from what is posted on schedule. As you can see SGA isn't a quiet place during the summer, these coaches and players put in a bunch of hours over their break.
